Wild Thing: love song to a river when water is the new oil

I hired a helicopter to fly along the Clear Fork of the Brazos River, which has been designated by the Texas State Legislature as the site for a large dam, so I could film its wildness prior. In the opening scene, a friend drops pebbles down the shaft of an abandoned - but not plugged, though that is required by law - oil well. The sounds are the rhythms of oil field pump jacks I recorded and mixed with Chip Taylor’s “Wild Thing”.
