A quiet garden in the heart of the wilderness area of a large urban park at the intersection of four walking paths. Bronzes, cast from slices of a large pecan tree that was cut down nearby, weave through the site among concentric rings of native flowering trees which add color and scent to the forest. A glorieta is a traffic circle but also a reference to la gloria (heaven), alluding to the ancient concept of paradise as a walled garden at the intersection of converging paths. Children and musicians come to the park to play on the resonant hollow bronzes so the site has become a de facto sound sculpture and performance space.
